AI Vision  Advisory Group and Coordinating Team

Vision: AI Education

We prepare students for the future world of work where professionals will need to learn, communicate and collaborate with others — enabled by AI systems and tools. OSU will be a leader in AI education in Oregon, the nation, and the world, leveraging the HCIC and public/private partnerships to provide transformational experiential learning opportunities for our students.

Vision: AI Knowledge

Build foundational, applied and transdisciplinary research strengths across the university in artificial intelligence, data science and research computing infrastructure that will better support scholarship, creative work and research in all disciplines on our campus. Partner with business, industry, and government using AI-enabled technology to translate research into public goods via innovation, new products and services.

Vision: AI Economy

Leverage intelligent technologies to enhance our outreach, tailoring solutions that contribute to the well-being and growth of individuals and industries across Oregon. In partnership with local stakeholders, we co-create AI-powered tools and programs empowering learners and leaders alike to access OSU's cutting-edge resources, ensuring that the benefits of AI innovation extend beyond our campus to the wider world.

Vision: Powered by AI

Build an AI integrated enterprise approach to knowledge translation, innovation and partnerships. Develop principles and embed into policies, the guidelines regarding the use of AI in all aspects of our work, address bias, unequal access, security and risk management practices and help to ensure responsible, transparent, and ethical AI systems and recommend appropriate updates to them.
